RC PAK FA from NitroPlanes.

A number of rc airplane model companies are scrambling to produce the first rc Sukhoi T-50 PAK FA radio control airplane. Based on past experience, these are what we think you can expect.

NitroPlanes will probably have a rc PAK FA made by CMP similar to the aircraft shown in the picture immediately above. Wingspan of the ARF should be 31 1/2" and length about 41 1/2". A pair of brushless motors turning minimum 55 mm fans should power it. Weigh will be about 28 1/2 oz.

We received the following email from Bob Cundiff aka, bobdaeronort: "Here I am in my little corner airplane shop with my rc PAK on my right and my Chengdu J-20 on my left. the rc PAK FA is 45" long with a 34" wing span and the J-20 is 47" long with a 34" wing span. Both are powered with a Grayson Hobby Super MegaJet 2550kv motor spinning a 7x5 prop. RC PAK FA from Blitz RC.

Pictured just above is what a rc PAK FA could look like from Blitz RC. The ready to fly model should have a wingspan of 34 1/2" and a length of 56 1/2". Typical is for Blitz to offer the scale rc model with a single brushless motor driving a 70 mm ducted fan. Weight should be around 40 oz.


RC PAK FA from Ultimate RC.

The rc PAK FA that could be offered as a ready to fly scale rc model by Ultimate RC. Anticipated wingspan is 30 1/2" and length is 39". A pair of brushless motors can drive 55 mm fans. Weight should be right around 2 lbs.


SAPAC American rc PAK FA.

The rc PAK FA as could be sold by SAPAC America as a ARF foamy. It has a wingspan of 33" with a 52" length. Power can come from a pair brushless motors turning 64 mm EDF units.


Century Jets rc PAK FA.

What a Century Jets rc PAK FA may look like. Wingspan is 65" and length 98". Construction will probably be all composite. Power can come from one turbine with an output from 31 to 44 lbs. Dry weight will be between 35 and 38 1/2 lbs.


RC PAK FA built by Giedi Prime.

The rc PAK FA built by Giedi Prime of RC Groups from plans by nac found on the site. It is a profile model pusher prop made from Depron with a 28" wingspan and 39" length.

Hans-Joachim of RC Groups posted a video of his Sukhoi T-50 PAK FA. It has a 28" wingspan and is powered by a HET RC motor turning a pusher prop.

Parkjets has plans for a Sukhoi T-50 PAK FA pusher prop profile model by Nick Cara. It is made from Depron with a 28" wingspan and is 39" long.

Mr. UD of RC Groups posted pictures, a description and plans of his Sukhoi T-50 PAK FA foamy pusher prop. Its wingspan is 24" and it it 17 1/2" long.
