The Messerschmitt Me-323 Gigant was the largest German transport produced during WW II. They were the powered version of the
Me-321 glider, propelled by six Gnome-Rhone 14N engines. Its propellers were three bladed, constructed from black wood.
Construction of the Messerschmitt Me-323 Gigant was of fabric covered steel tube framing rather than
employing a more conventional monocoque fuselage. This was done as a
cost saving measure.
The Messerschmitt Me-323 Gigant was capable of carrying around 100 armed troops
or 20,000 lbs. of cargo. Oversize cargo could be loaded through large
clam shell doors in the nose of the aircraft.
The aircraft served throughout 1943 keeping the German army supplied.
About 200 Messerschmitt Me-323 Gigant aircraft were produced in all.

RC Airplane pilots report the flight of the Graupner rc Me-323 Gigant as very scale-like. Although the ailerons are effective, the rudder has very little authority. Once cruising at a comfortable altitude, you can maintain altitude at about 1/4 throttle.
